General Overview
nCommand, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) systems engineering efforts include engaging in Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) and Ballistic Missile Defense System Overhead Persistent Infra-Red Architecture (BOA)technical engineering and integration, future concepts, new functionality, and multi-national exchange designs. Systems engineering responsibilities include translating mission objectives into reference architectures, developing technical requirements in support of interface designs and participating in reviews/assessments of C2BMC/BOA engineering products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for design, development, integration and management of interfaces between systems, software, and hardware components, ensuring compliance with MDA/BC technical baselines.
nWhat You'll Be Doing:
n- n
- Support definition and development of C2BMC/BOA system and subsystem interfaces using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies. n
- Develop and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Interface Description Documents (IDDs), Interface Requirements Specifications (IRS), and related technical documentation. n
- Use MBSE tools (e.g. Cameo Systems Modeler, Cameo Enterprise Architect, etc.) to model interfaces and system behaviors throughout the engineering lifecycle. n
- Analyze operational, functional, and system-level requirements and architecture to drive interface specifications. n
- Support integration and testing of C2BMC/BOA and MDS element's system interfaces in lab and operational environments. n
- Collaborate with system engineers and developers to design and define C2BMC/BOA system interfaces (e.g. hardware and software). n
- Participate in internal/external design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and interface control working groups. n
- Support risk identification and mitigation related to interface design and interoperability. n
- Support integration and interoperability product evaluations of C2BMC/BOA system based on future capabilities within MDA/BC builds through interface, requirements, product definitions. n
- Ensure compliance with interface standards, protocols, and system interoperability requirements. n
- Maintain interface configuration control and manage changes throughout the system lifecycle. n
- Assist with risk assessment and mitigation strategies related to interface development and interoperability. n
- Prepare technical assessments and reports for MDA/BC technical boards and working groups. n
- Prepare official meeting minutes and track actions items to closure n
