JOB TITLE: Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Technician
LOCATION: Hayward, CA (onsite)
PAY RANGE: $31,00 - $41.38/hr
DURATION: 6 months
TOP 3 SKILLS:
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour, HAZWOPER, First Aid/CPR) are a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Job Summary:
The EHS Technician supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. This role plays a key part in promoting a safe workplace by conducting inspections, assisting in training, and maintaining safety documentation.
  • Actively contribute to the implementation of EHS policies and training programs.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards by conducting audits and recommending corrective actions.
  • Maintain safety records, including incident reports and inspection logs.
  • Support accident investigations by gathering information and assisting with reports.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and conducting emergency response drills and workplace safety training sessions.
  • Assist with hazardous waste management, environmental compliance inspections, and proper disposal procedures.
  • Provide guidance on proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use, workplace safety procedures, and maintain and distribute PPE as needed.
  • Assist with vendor coordination for items such as prescription safety glasses, audiograms, and safety shoes.
  • Use software tools to update safety documents and reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support EHS initiatives
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED with relevant experience in EHS roles will be considered.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour, HAZWOPER, First Aid/CPR) are a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable safety regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough inspections.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel between sites.

Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate or annual salary only, unless otherwise stated.
