MSG is seeking a full-time Structural Engineer to perform engineering tasks related to bridge design and analysis, from start of projects through final design.
Key Responsibilitiesn
- n
- The study and design of highway structures and bridges. n
- Field inspection of transportation structures and bridges. n
- Preparation of engineering reports, plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E), engineering calculations, and monitoring work for compliance with applicable codes and standards. n
- Act as the project engineer or discipline lead for highway and bridge projects, as well as mentor junior engineers and technicians. n
Skills, Knowledge and Expertisen
- n
- BS or greater in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field n
- 8+ years of experience with structural engineering, including bridge work n
- PE required n
- Experience with bridge design and analysis, ODOT experience a plus n
- Experience working in STAAD-Pro, MDX, and Leap Bridge Designer, with Midas Civil experience a plus. n
- Knowledge of Bridge and Culvert Manual, AASHTO, AISC, ACI, IBC, and ASCE 7 specifications n
