The Axel Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our client’s team out of Bergen County, New Jersey. This reputable firm has been in business for over 50 years and is a global supplier for high-performance dry solids metering and blending equipment. This firm develops, designs, and manufactures their products in-house, making them one of the largest suppliers in the northeast for food and chemical metering.

n
• Responsible for defining all of mechanical components layout requirements associated with and necessary for assigned projects
n
• Reference prior projects similar in nature for relevant information
n
• Develop general equipment arrangement and layout drawings for customer approval
n
• Perform all necessary drafting functions as required for a given application
n
• Develop all necessary detail drawings required for manufacturing non-standard components
n
• Compile Bills of Material for all of the equipment manufactured by the Company for any given project
n
• Select all applicable Instruction Manuals for the manufactured equipment
n
• Prepare all necessary documentation of assigned equipment
n

Qualifications:

n
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
n
• OR strong practical experience with machine design and power transmission technologies and equipment
n
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is essential
n
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Inventor and/or SolidWorks an added plus
n
