What You’ll Do

n

As a Systems Engineer, you’ll be the architect behind technically advanced building control systems. Your role will include:

n
    n
  • n

    Engineering Expertise: Design and configure complex control systems based on contract specifications. Create flow diagrams, sequences of operations, bills of material, network layouts, and electrical schematics.

    Custom Software Development: Write and test intelligent software programs that bring the building automation systems to life.

  • n
  • n

    Integrated Design: Produce detailed drawings, submittals, and equipment schedules to guide smooth installation.

  • n

    Materials Management: Select, procure, and track the delivery of all necessary materials to keep projects moving on schedule.

  • n

    Factory Collaboration: Coordinate with factories on component mounting and delivery to align with timelines.

  • n

    System Commissioning: Load and commission system controllers at both system and network levels.

  • n
  • n

    Troubleshooting & Validation: Ensure full functionality by resolving issues in collaboration with subcontractors and field teams.

    Project Documentation: Support creation of “as-built” documentation and relay real-time changes during construction.

    Client Engagement: Keep project stakeholders informed and assist in training operators on their custom systems.

What we look for

Required

    n
  • n

    bachelor’s degree in engineering and minimum 3 years' experience.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Demonstrated knowledge of the construction or HVAC industry.   

    n
  • n
  • n

    Demonstrated knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems.

  • n
  • n

    Experience with JCI software programming

    n
  • n
  • n

    Demonstrated experience in the integration of low voltage building sub-systems using various industry protocols (i.e., LON, BACnet, etc.)

  • n
  • n

    Ability to relate technical knowledge to a non-technical audience.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Demonstrated advanced computer skills required, particularly computer-related drafting tools.

    Ability to travel regularly.
