Performance Engineer: Systems Operations Engineer

Onsite hybrid 3 days minimum in one of the office locations above.
About this role:
  • Company's client is seeking a Software Engineer with strong performance engineering experience.
  • This engineer must have LoadRunner experience.
In this role, candidate will:
  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments.
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments.
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures.
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients' needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced Staff.
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 4 plus years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Coding Experience with C/C++
  • Deep understanding of Non Functional / Performance Requirements for applications and how to effectively gather, document, and validate them from production data
  • Experience with developing test plans and performance scripts, executing performance tests, and analyzing performance results.
  • Experience with Performance Engineering tools such as Performance Center/LoadRunner and BlazeMeter.
  • Experience with performing deep dive analysis using Monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Splunk, OVPM, ITRS.
  • Strong Communication skills and ability to work in partnership with application teams.
  • Responsible for communicating project status, resolving project issues, and ensuring effective process improvement feedback.
Required Qualifications, International:
  • Experience in Software Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum and Kanban teams with tools such as Jira
  • Experience with DevOps & CI/CD practices with tools like Jenkins, working in Agile development life cycle.
  • Performance tuning experience for platforms, containers, communications, and software stacks; to
  • include Linux, Java, HTTPS, HTTP/2, Nodejs, cache, browsers, and mobile.
  • Experience in analyzing the memory/thread dumps and identify the performance vitals like memory, CPU usage, crashes etc.
  • Self-motivated and flexible to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work as a team and in partnership with application development teams.
  • Experience using team collaboration site like Confluence or SharePoint.
  • Experience in database system such as Oracle, SQL Server or Teradata & SQL.
  • Experience in network, service, and data virtualization.
  • Experience and understanding of cloud architecture/design.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Git/GitHub and uDeploy.
Job Expectations:
  • Working autonomously on Performance requirements gathering, test development and scripting, workload profiling.
  • Manage and actively participate in the performance test defect resolution process? provide defect descriptions, root cause, scope, risks and impact of a problem and facilitating defect reviews.
  • Lead Performance Tuning activities in partnership with application development teams.
