Senior Project Manager - Commercial & Industrial Construction
Location: Richmond, VA

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and drive success across large-scale commercial and industrial construction projects . This pivotal role involves managing customer relationships, contracts, job costs, and project forecasting while mentoring and developing Project Managers (PMs) and Project Engineers (PEs).

A Day in the Life:
  • Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules
  • Develop schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for project completion
  • Serve as the Business Manager for construction projects
  • Work with the Supply Chain Manager to procure materials, equipment, and subcontracts
  • Oversee submittals, RFIs, operations & maintenance documents, and project closeouts
  • Negotiate and manage change orders
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents
  • Interpret project specifications and make key decisions regarding equipment, materials, and subcontractors
  • Manage project forecasting for revenue, cost-to-complete, and expected gross profit
You Should Have:
  • Minimum 5+ years of commercial/industrial project management experience
  • Proven experience managing projects exceeding $10M
  • Ability to oversee the continuous flow of materials and labor for long-term projects
  • Electrical trade knowledge and OSHA 30 certification
  • Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
