Licking Co. Location, Sunday-Thursday, First shift.
Summary
The commissary worker is responsible for the preparation and production of Duchess proprietary food items, to be delivered by a third-party contractor to our Duchess stores.
A commitment to food safety, following recipes, and speed are paramount.
This is predominantly a Sunday through Thursday, first shift position but can vary depending on business needs.
Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for preparing various food prep products.
  • Operating a variety of kitchen utensils and/or equipment for weighing, measuring, mixing, etc.
  • Follow recipes and/or product directions for proper food preparation.
  • Prep foods using the proper method of peeling, cutting, slicing, straining, stirring, or kneading.
  • Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed, including wrapping, labeling, dating, and stock rotation along with checking the temperature of products.
  • Receive food and beverage product supplies and stock areas as needed.
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart.
  • Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment.
  • Assist with a variety of kitchen-related functions as needed.
  • Other duties as needed and required by Management.

  • Dependability: Is punctual. Can be relied upon to be at work according to schedule. Complies with policies regarding clocking in/out and use of breaks. Communicates schedule changes to appropriate supervisors.
  • Uniform/Personal Appearance: Always dressed in complete uniform and presents a well-groomed appearance.
  • Commitment: Shows initiative and follows through with tasks.
  • Must be able to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods to perform job functions.
  • Must have the ability to lift and push objects weighing over 40 lbs.
  • Report any safety hazards to management immediately.
