Senior S2P Business Strategy Manager

The Senior Manager, S2P (Source to Pay) Business Strategy will play a pivotal leadership role in overseeing key supply chain modernization initiatives that are foundational to PG&E's broader business and technology transformation. This role requires a deep understanding of supply chain strategy, cross-functional program leadership, and project delivery across end-to-end S2P solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strategic agility, collaborative leadership, and the ability to deliver tangible results in alignment with the mission to standardize business processes, enhance data quality, and drive innovation across PG&E's future-state supply chain operating model.
Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the Supply Chain Source to Pay workstream as part of PG&E's enterprise-wide Propel strategic initiative.
  • Develop and manage execution plans for key strategic initiatives, partnering with subject matter experts across departments.
  • Engage directly with senior executives, including Officers, VPs, and Directors, on highly complex, cross-functional programs.
  • Partner closely with the Propel Director to develop, influence, and drive strategic priorities, while assembling and mobilizing cross-matrixed teams to execute those strategies.
  • Balance both short-term deliverables and long-term strategic planning within a transforming energy and utility landscape.
  • Provide strong leadership to direct reports, including recruitment, training and development, performance management, and recognition efforts.
  • Ensure early and effective engagement of key subject matter experts to meet initiative goals and deliverables.
  • Lead, observe, and/or facilitate key design workshops to ensure inclusive and productive stakeholder participation.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or a comparable quantitative field - or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience, with a consistent increase in responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated depth of experience in at least one of the following areas:
    • Gas Transmission & Distribution
    • Nuclear
    • Power Generation
    • Electric Transmission & Distribution
    • Power Systems / IT
    • Energy Procurement
    • Energy Efficiency
    • Renewable Energy
Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP Source-to-Pay and Ariba solutions/processes.
  • Proven success in leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide projects.
  • Excellent communication, executive presence, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in the utility, energy, or regulatory sectors.
  • Background in consulting, program/portfolio management, or enterprise transformation.
  • Familiarity with governance structures, KPI dashboards, and program health metrics.
  • Expertise in leading and facilitating large-scale, matrixed initiatives.
  • Comfortable interacting with C-Suite executives.
  • Strategic thinker with deep knowledge of the evolving energy landscape.
  • Skilled in negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building.
  • Experience driving process improvements and organizational change.
