About the Role: The full-time Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services. This position is responsible for providing direct support to healthcare professionals, facilitating patient care, and maintaining a safe and efficient clinical environment. The Medical Assistant will assist in various clinical tasks, including taking vital signs, performing phlebotomy, and preparing specimens for laboratory analysis. Additionally, this role involves administrative duties such as answering phones and managing patient records, which are essential for effective communication and patient flow. Ultimately, the Medical Assistant contributes significantly to the overall patient experience and the quality of care provided at WGHC.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a medical assistant training program.
- Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a social assistance environment.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent.
- Bilingual skills are a plus (English/Spanish or (English/Dari/Pashto)
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens for laboratory testing.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries.
