CEC Motor and Utility Services has an immediate full-time opportunity for an experienced Industrial Electrician at our service center in Palmetto, FL. The position includes installing, maintaining, and servicing three-phase electrical systems, troubleshooting controls, and working with high voltages. Pay range is negotiable for candidates meeting preferred qualifications. Hours: • Monday - Friday (7 am - 3:30 pm) Pay Frequency: • Weekly FLSA Status : • Non-Exempt Work Environment: • Exposure to direct sunlight Physical Demands: • Must be able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly. Reporting Relationships : • The Industrial Electrician reports to the General Manager Note: This position requires drug and background screening. Responsibilities: • Troubleshoot causes of electrical failures. • Install VFDs, generators, electrical motors, and automatic power transfer switches. • Prepare sketches for electrical layout and installations. • Calculate line leads to determine capacity, wire sizes, and equipment sizes. • Knowledge of and adherence to all NEC requirements. • Knowledge of testing, safety, and process-sensing equipment. • Ability to interpret complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and piping layouts. • Ability to work independently and as a team member to complete daily activities according to the work schedule. • Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions. • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency. • Regular, in-person attendance is required. Qualifications: • Valid Driver’s License (required). • High school diploma or equivalent (required). • Industrial Electrician Experience: 4+ years (required). • The ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and piping layouts. (required). • Troubleshooting Experience with 3-phase installations: 4+ years (preferred). • Electrical Contractors License (preferred). • Experience working/coordinating with FPL (preferred). • Knowledge of local agencies' permitting and inspection policies (preferred). Compensation: $25 - $35 hourly
