Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

nReports To: Site Supervisor/Foreman
nJob Summary: The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery used in the construction industry to ensure the completion of projects in a safe and efficient manner. This role involves operating equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and graders to perform tasks like excavation, grading, and earthmoving.
nOur client is forming a permanent and professional crew willing to travel to various job sites throughout the Southeastern United States. Per diem and incentives are available.
nKey Responsibilities:

- Operation of Equipment: n
- n
- Safely and efficiently operate heavy construction equipment including bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, loaders, graders, and other related machinery. n
- Operate Foundation Drills (Tacked and Truck Mounted) n
- Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance to ensure optimal functionality. n
n - Site Preparation: n
- n
- Assist in the preparation of construction sites by clearing obstacles and debris. n
- Excavate, grade, and level surfaces according to project specifications. n
n - Project Execution: n
- n
- Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors to execute tasks such as digging trenches, backfilling, and loading materials. n
- Experience with Slurry Drilling, caisson installation and vertical rock removal. n
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure coordinated project completion. n
n - Safety Compliance: n
- n
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries. n
- Conduct pre-operational checks and report any mechanical issues or hazards immediately. n
n - Documentation and Reporting: n
- n
- Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, equipment usage, and project progress. n
- Report any issues or delays to the site supervisor promptly. n
n - Communication: n
- n
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors, team members, and other stakeholders. n
- Provide updates on project status and any potential issues. n
n
Qualifications:
n- n
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. n
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction environment. n
- Certifications: Valid heavy equipment operator certification or license as required by local regulations. n
- Skills: n

- Proficiency in operating various types of heavy machinery. n
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and protocols. n
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications. n
- Good communication and teamwork skills. n

- Physical stamina and strength to operate heavy machinery for extended periods. n
