Position Responsibilities

n

n
• Lead design, development, and detailing of mechanical components and systems, such as suspensions, braking, ergonomics, and some structural design
n
• Design systems to minimize weight
n
• Develop platforms for systems of responsibility for maximizing commonality across Orange EV
n
• Define component specifications and create relevant documentation
n
• Create and maintain project timelines
n
• Create and maintain cost estimates for new designs
n
• Lead DFMEAs for systems of responsibility and ensure completion of DFMEA action items
n
• Author the operator and service manual sections of the responsible systems
n
• Educate less experienced Orange EV engineers in proper design and calculation techniques
n
• Create gate/milestone review documentation as required
n
• Conduct design reviews and review designs of others
n
• Oversee the assembly of the prototype build of new designs
n
• Develop test procedures/requirements for new designs
n
• Perform project engineer/program manager work as needed
n
• Willingness to learn new subjects and develop new areas of expertise
n
• Enthusiastic about joining and helping build a company; willing to “do what it takes” to support our customers

Position Qualifications

n

n
• 5+ years of experience in the design of mobile equipment
n
• Education/Experience: BSME from an accredited university
n
• Strong technical and professional knowledge
n
• Strong communication and presentation skills
n
• Experience in effective problem-solving techniques
n
• Knowledge of SAE and ISO safety standards
n
• Extensive CAD experience, preferably Autodesk Inventor
n
• DFMEA experience
n

• Experience working in the manufacturing and/or distribution industries is .

• Knowledge and/or experience in the vehicle industry is a plus.
