- Lead and implement comprehensive safety programs specific to corrugating environments.
- Conduct regular audits and safety visits, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Analyze safety data to develop targeted improvement initiatives.

- Initiating and mentoring on safety training and development.
- Conducting insightful accident investigations to foster learning and improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field are preferred. Exceptions can be made for highly qualified candidates who have previously held similar roles and have extensive safety training and certifications.
- Minimum of 5 years of safety management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the corrugated or packaging industry.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other applicable safety standards.
- Experience in developing and delivering safety training programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of converting machinery and processes.
- Prior divisional or multi-site experience.
- Experience with safety considerations related to material handling, automated equipment, conveyors, and other equipment used in corrugated packaging facilities.
- Ability to travel to various manufacturing facilities - Up to 75%
- Ability to conduct inspections in manufacturing environments, including climbing stairs and ladders.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Close proximity or easy travel to the following locations required: Albany GA, Austell GA, Atlanta GA, Richmond VA, Bessemer AL, Greenville SC, Nashville TN, Ocala FL, Raleigh NC, Roanoke VA, Bristol TN.
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
- Office environment for administrative tasks.
- Emphasis on serious accident prevention and standardization as a primary focus.
- Understanding of Lockout/Tagout procedures is critical.
