We're looking for a high-performing, strategic, and mission-driven Commercial Lead to lead all customer-facing efforts across CDR partnerships, buyer success, new market expansion, and regulated market strategy. This is a critical role shaping Terradot's commercial trajectory and ensuring we scale in the most impactful markets-voluntary and regulatory alike.
You will grow relationships with carbon removal buyers, unlock new demand segments, and drive the strategy to position Terradot as the most trusted, science-backed partner for high-integrity carbon removal.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Own CDR Partnerships & Buyer Success: Build and deepen relationships with leading carbon removal buyers (e.g., Google, Microsoft, Frontier). Convert interest into long-term offtake partnerships rooted in trust, credibility, and climate impact. Ensure long-term relationship value through proactive support, communication, and impact reporting.
  • Develop Go-to-Market Strategy for New Demand Segments: Support strategic entry into emerging buyer categories (e.g., food & ag, insetting, climate finance, logistics. Explore buyer motivations, pricing dynamics, and scalable value propositions beyond tech-forward early adopters.
  • Shape Regulated Market Strategy: Define Terradot's approach to regulated carbon markets (EU ETS, UK SAF, California LCFS, Japan, etc.). Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure market eligibility. Engage early with compliance buyers, registries, and standard-setters to shape access pathways.
  • Co-Develop Strategic Narratives: Create and refine positioning, messaging, and commercial frameworks that resonate with technical stakeholders, climate leaders, and procurement decision-makers.
  • Build Scalable Commercial Infrastructure: Design and implement playbooks, systems, and metrics to scale Terradot's commercial operations with consistency and precision.
Background and Requirements:
  • 5-8 years of experience in partnerships, commercial strategy, business development, or B2B sales in durable CDR markets
  • Experience working with global sustainability teams, procurement leads, or public sector actors on complex partnerships
  • Exceptional relationship-building, narrative, and communication skills around scientific and technical topics
  • Strategic instincts and operational execution meaning you can architect the plan and close the deal.
  • Experience in high-growth startups and durable CDR markets
Personal Attributes:
  • Enthusiastic and Curious Listener - You actively listen and ask thoughtful questions to deeply understand our customers' needs, goals, and concerns.
  • Trusted Communicator - You confidently and clearly articulate Terradot's mission, values, and scientific foundation, building trust with a range of stakeholders.
  • Adaptable, Creative and Resilient - You navigate ambiguity with composure, adjust quickly to change, and prioritize effectively in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. You bring out-of-the-box ideas.
  • Strategic and Forward-Thinking - You balance immediate customer needs with long-term partnership goals, always keeping the bigger picture in view.
  • Collaborative and Hands-On - You work seamlessly across teams and dive in to solve problems with a pragmatic, team-first approach.
  • Positive and Outcome-Oriented - You bring energy, optimism, and a strong bias toward action-focused on delivering results that drive impact.
