nJob Summary
nBlue Ridge Automation is seeking to fill a full-time Systems Engineer position. This position will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions for customers using data to provide meaningful insights. Systems Engineers report directly to the Director of Factory Business Integration unit as well as Project Leads. This role is ideal for an engineer with experience in manufacturing and a desire to learn how to leverage data to streamline processes.

nEducation: AS/BS Degree in Engineering Preferred
nKey Responsibilities
nDesign, develop and optimize data analytic solutions and UI/UX for customers.
nCollaborate with customers to integrate solutions focused on increasing efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry standards.
nImplement and support HMI/SCADA, MES, Recipe Management, Batch & Product Run tracking, ERP, and other IT/OT solutions.
nOptimize solutions using data analytics, data flow concepts, and data relationships.
nUnderstand and troubleshoot mid to high level manufacturing software.
nDecrease manufacturing mistakes through error-proofing and interlocking concepts.
nPerform complex problem-solving tasks that involve reviewing information, actively detecting problems, developing, and evaluating options, selecting, and implementing the best solutions.
nUnderstand complex plant floor operations and make proactive decisions by examining all available information and making timely decisions.
nResearch new features and technologies for solution concepts.
nBuild and use company standards for the applicable created solutions.
nIntegrate application solutions with manufacturing industrial solutions.
n(PLCs, IIOT Edge Devices, SCADA systems, etc….)
nJob Requirements
nStrong time management skills including the ability follow standards and daily tasks.
nActively engage in the solution design, architecture, development, and deployment of assigned projects.
nExperience with Agile and SCRUM approach to solution design.
nIgnition knowledge and familiarity with Ignition common modules.
nStrong SQL Experience (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, etc.)
nScripting Experience (JavaScript, Python, .NET, etc.)
nExperience in UI/US Design
nExperience in PLC non-process related programming
nSoftware platform agnostic and able to navigate between different platforms and different customer solutions.
nThe ability to communicate with clients, support channels, and vendors on a regular basis providing documentation as needed.
nWillingness to learn about the following industries Petcare, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, Automotive, Metal Work.
