nFLSA Status: Exempt
nnESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
n- n
- Develop detailed electrical specifications, schematics, and production drawings for overhead crane equipment using computer-assisted drafting (AutoCAD/Solidworks) software. n
- Review customer schematics and specifications to ensure conformance with electrical codes and design requirements. n
- Generate detailed Bill of Materials for electrical designs. n
- Assist in troubleshooting and provide technical support for electrical components. n
- Develop standard electrical design procedures, templates, and documents. n
- Collaborate with the mechanical engineering and manufacturing groups. n
- Work with the basic features of Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. n
- Must be organized and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. n
- Ability to work with minimum supervision. n
QUALIFICATIONS:
n- n
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program. n
- 2-8 years of applicable in the field of electrical schematic layout & design. n
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for detailing electrical schematics and drawings. n
- Extensive knowledge of electric motors and motor drives. n
- Extensive knowledge of electrical codes and practices. n
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. n
- Ability to work both independently, with minimum supervision, and as part of a team. n
- Must be organized and have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. n
QUALIFICATIONS:
n- n
- Overhead crane design experience or VFD crane controls experience n
- Knowledge of hoist and crane industry standards and regulations (e.g., CMAA). n
- Experience with Solidworks or similar 3D CAD programs n
