Position Summary
The New Mexico Statistical AnalysisCenter (NMSAC), a research center at the Institute for Social Research, housesthe Intimate Partner Violence Death Review Team (IPVDRT).
The New Mexico Intimate PartnerViolence Death Review Team (IPVDRT) is a multi-disciplinary fatality reviewpractice authorized by NMSA §31-22-4.1 and funded by the New Mexico CrimeVictim Reparations Commission. Fatality review is a method of inquiry thatseeks to identify ways to improve prevention and intervention efforts throughan examination of the facts and circumstances preceding a death. The IPVDRTfocuses on local, state, and federal programs and practices that aim to preventinjury and death in incidents of intimate partner and sexual violence.
The NMSAC is seeking an RS1 for theIPVDRT.
The RS1 is responsible for preparing cases for review by the Team andpresenting cases to the Team. This includes collecting and summarizing datafrom various sources (e.g., law enforcement, courts, Office of the MedicalInvestigator, social media) for presentation to the IPVDRT. The RS1 would facilitate team meetings inconjunction with the Chairperson of the Team under the New Meico Open MeetingsAct, and present case data at Team meetings via Zoom or in person. The RS1would also assist with: entering andanalyzing data for the annual report; preparing the annual report and preparingprocess evaluation report. They may also help recruit and orient new IPVDRTmembers; and act as a spokesperson and subject matter expert for the Team.

Bachelor's degree; no previous experience required.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Required qualifications:
- Must be able to gather data from multiple sources, synthesize the data, and summarize for presentation and analyses
- Must have good verbal communication and presentation skills
- Must have good written communication skills
- Must be organized and meet deadlines
- Interest in criminal justice/public health/prevention of intimate partner violence
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check. Additional health screenings may be required, dependent on the nature of the research conducted, as determined by Employee Occupational Health Services.
- Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
