Job Description:

As Director, Relationship Marketing Strategy you are helping Merkle clients achieve their business goals as they pertain to omnichannel strategy.
In this role you will report into the VP of Relationship Marketing. Successful candidates will have a deep understanding of our client's business and strategic objectives. You'll appreciate the importance of strong relationships and work to become a trusted advisor to the client and Merkle account team. You will be a person who thrives in both analytic as well as creative thinking and will be nimble in solving for client problems . As a leader, your skills and passion for communicating strategy will get others to believe in the ideas that you present and follow that belief through to execution.
To be successful in this role you'll have a deep familiarity in 1st party data driven channels (email, SMS, Push, Direct Mail) a strong passion for problem solving, and a deep understanding of how businesses, brands and customers interact, with an advanced understanding of the rapidly evolving role that data and technology play in this relationship. You must possess the ability to identify business growth opportunities and develop strategic recommendations to support the growth of client relationships.

The hourly pay range for this position is $ 73.34 - $118.68. The hourly pay rate for the successful candidate is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Temporary employees are eligible for paid holidays in accordance with dentsu policy, as well as safe and sick time. This position is not eligible for any other benefits or other compensation.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of strategic omni-channel marketing plans.
- You will be the subject matter expert in people-based data marketing and CRM
- High comfort level partnering with analytics to work with large sets of data and build segmentation and personalization strategies.
- Monitor current marketing trends, new technology solutions, and competitive strategies - and then translate them into new marketing ideas for clients.
- Develop trusted, long-term relationships with important client contacts and executives.
- Ensure meaningful client value is delivered through a mix of best-practice solutions, and original thinking.
- Collaborate with team leadership (account management, operations, creative, analytics), and partner agencies to turn ideas into executable plans .
- Identify data points and measurements to show the impact of our approach and strategy on the client's business.
- Lead the process of building out narratives that tell the strategic current and future state stories for our clients.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 10+ years' experience in data-driven marketing - specifically CRM, email, Direct Mail, SMS, Push
- 5+ years working in an agency or consulting firm.
- Experience developing solutions to support the sale of new services to clients.
- Hands-on skills using data and research to guide decisions -proficiency in excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and research tools.
- Experience translating data analysis into actionable marketing recommendations and presentations - proficiency in PowerPoint.
- Comfort and experience working within a matrixed organization in roles with a wide degree of latitude.
- Average % travel (contingent on comfort level of client)
