The Fleet Mechanic is responsible to diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. The Fleet Mechanic will need to operate in a safe and efficient manner following all personal protective equipment (PPE) and process requirements.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Keep work area clean, orderly, and safe.
- Provide routine maintenance of equipment.
- Assemble, set up, adjust and/or repair all types of construction equipment and parts.
- Trouble shoot and overhaul hydraulic systems including cylinders and pumps.
- Operate and inspect machines or equipment to diagnose defects.
- Dismantle and reassemble equipment/trucks using hoists and hand tools.
- Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
- Schedule maintenance for equipment and maintain service records.
- Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges.
- Make sure that all vehicles are properly registered; carry out inspection on regular basis.
- Maintaining vehicle performance and operation in a safe and efficient manner.
- Take preventive measure to ensure safety of vehicles and drivers too.
- Read effectively from a computer screen and/or a paper copy.
- Handle a large volume of work and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Effectively communicate verbally.
- Stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk and lift heavy objects (50 lbs.)
- Have their own tools.
- Computer proficient.
- 3 Years of experience in equipment repair and maintenance or automotive repair and maintenance.
- Technical certification preferred or relevant experience.
- Automotive Gas and Diesel (Preferably Ford).
- Indoor, in a ventilated and heated shop.
