Overview
Lundy Management Group is seeking a Building Engineer to support the maintenance, repair, and overall care of properties across our managed portfolio. Reporting to the Chief Maintenance Engineer, this role is essential to ensure that our buildings function smoothly, safely, and efficiently for tenants and clients.
This is a hands-on position that combines proactive planning with responsive service. The ideal candidate is solution-oriented, self-motivated, and committed to maintaining high standards of property maintenance.
Schedule and Compensation
Preventative and General Maintenance
Typically 8am-5pm (some flexibility in start and end time as pre-approved by manager). Position pays OT for work over 40 hours.

Schedule and Compensation
- Full-time, 40-hour work week with flexibility based on property needs, ideally with medical property experience
- Occasional additional hours to respond to urgent issues or project deadlines
- Participation in a rotating on-call schedule (typically less than four times per year)
- Overtime paid at time-and-a-half; holidays at double time
- Competitive hourly compensation; benefits start Day One
Preventative and General Maintenance
- Conduct regular site visits and follow a routine preventative maintenance schedule
- Promptly respond to work order requests
- Track work performed and submit receipts and documentation as required
- Replace interior and exterior lighting components
- Perform minor plumbing, HVAC, electrical, door, window, and drywall repairs
- Handle painting, signage, roof patching, and light carpentry tasks
- Escort and monitor contractors and vendors; assist when needed
- Perform and document fire/life safety inspections following NFPA guidelines
- Monitor landscaping, irrigation, and trash services; report issues or suggest improvements
- Ensure grounds are clean and free of debris, especially around entrances and dumpsters
- Identify and report safety issues such as trip hazards or roof leaks
- Perform basic asphalt patching and install signage as needed
- Help coordinate snow/ice removal and oversee vendor performance
- Assist with physical snow removal when necessary (shoveling, ice melt, etc.)
- Walk properties to identify and address weather-related hazards promptly
- Coordinate with approved contractors for specialized work
- Review work for quality and monitor contractor behavior and timing
- Help negotiate fair pricing and obtain competitive proposals
- Maintain communication with the Property Manager to provide timely project updates
- Positive attitude and ability to maintain a productive work environment
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Willingness to support the broader team and pitch in as needed
- Focus on safety, quality, and proactive maintenance
