Position Summary
The Process Engineer – Supply Chain at Daiso USA plays a key role in enhancing operational efficiency by analyzing, designing, implementing, and optimizing supply chain processes. This position supports scalable growth by identifying and solving process inefficiencies and driving continuous improvement across procurement, logistics, distribution, and inventory operations. This individual will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to streamline workflows, support digital transformation initiatives, and ensure alignment with industry best practices and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze end-to-end supply chain operations to identify inefficiencies and propose data-driven improvements.
  • Design and implement standardized workflows across procurement, inventory, logistics, and distribution functions.
  • Partner cross-functionally with IT, warehouse, procurement, manufacturing, and customer service teams to support improvement initiatives.
  • Lead root cause analysis, process mapping, and corrective action plans using Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
  • Establish, track, and report on KPIs to monitor supply chain performance, compliance, and service levels.
  • Contribute to digital transformation initiatives, including ERP/WMS implementations and automation projects.
  • Conduct time studies, capacity modeling, and simulations to evaluate and recommend process changes.
  • Ensure process compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with company goals.
  • Create and maintain SOPs and process documentation; provide training and support to cross-functional users.
  • Manage or contribute to special projects related to supply chain transformation, network design, and cost optimization.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field (required)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supply chain, operations, or process engineering role
  • Experience in retail, manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environments preferred
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Proficient in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) and continuous improvement frameworks
  • Experience with ERP/WMS platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Manhattan)
  • Advanced Excel proficiency; familiarity with analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus
  • Effective project management and communication skills
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher preferred
  • Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Position is based in an office and warehouse setting with occasional travel to distribution centers, vendor facilities, or store locations
  • May require extended periods of sitting, walking, and standing
  • Occasional lifting of materials or equipment up to 25 lbs
