Formosa Plastics is a privately held company headquartered in Livingston, New Jersey. Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.
Position Objective
This position is responsible for Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP) compliance at Formosa's Baton Rouge manufacturing facility. This individual leads technical PSM/RMP compliance and oversees the site PSM/RMP programs and ensures regulatory conformance, continuous improvement and risk reduction at the Baton Rouge site. The position will have additional responsibilities supporting the site Safety/Health Director on additional initiatives such as MOC oversite, KMS (Visium) and ISO compliance, B-1/B4, 3rd party audits, contractor management, and site PSM/RMP programs.
Education
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Curriculum and/or 10+ years in PSM/RMP role.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in petrochemical facility including implementation of OSHA's Process Safety Management, or Process Safety Professional certification, with strong background in hazard analysis studies (PHA / LOPA), incident investigations, and Management of Change as well as other elements of PSM/RMP. Operations experience a plus
