nTextron Specialized Vehicles Inc. is a leading global manufacturer of golf cars, utility and personal transportation vehicles, professional turf-care equipment, and ground support equipment. Textron Specialized Vehicles markets products under several different brands. Its vehicles are found in environments ranging from golf courses to factories, airports to planned communities, and theme parks to hunting preserves.
nResponsibilities:
nExecute activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for inspection processes and materials.
nConduct field audits and vendor evaluations and investigate manufacturing or field issues as needed.
nMaintain implemented standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
nMaintain quality assurance objectives to maximize product reliability and minimize defects, field failures, scrap, and rework.
nMonitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPI's including parts per million (PPM), line disruptions and days to close non-conforming material tickets (NCMT).
nFacilitate the deployment of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in response to quality issues as well as customer complaints through the coordination of cross-functional teams.
nInterpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
nSeek and recommend ways to improve product and process capability based on company metrics.
nProvide technical support and information to other departments, vendors and customers as requested based on data collected from company metrics, vendor metrics and inspection data.
nBe a resource to a small team of Quality Inspectors for assigned area to ensure processes are followed and production is supported, as needed.
nQualifications
nEducation: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field required, 10 or more years of technical experience in lieu of degree
nYears of Experience: 0-2 years with degree, 10 or more years of relevant, technical experience without degree
nSoftware Knowledge: Microsoft Office Applications, CAD, ERP/MRP preferred
nAble to read part/assembly blueprints and understand Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred
