Job Description
Power House Resources has been retained by a premier manufacturer to identify a seasoned Industrial Engineer with a deep understanding of value stream mapping, takt time, cycle time analysis, and production scheduling. This high-impact role will lead both traditional industrial engineering functions and the development of sequencing software to optimize plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and refine value stream maps to uncover process inefficiencies and drive lean transformation initiatives.
  • Lead the development of sequencing software in partnership with internal developers, advising on scheduling logic, workflow allocation, and automation strategy.
  • Perform time studies, cycle time, and takt time analysis to streamline production flow and maximize efficiency.
  • Support and enhance production scheduling , including machine utilization, capacity planning, and workload balancing.
  • Implement and sustain lean manufacturing principles , including Kaizen, 5S, and standardized work.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend design or process changes to reduce mold repair frequency and increase reliability.
  • Design optimized plant layouts and material flow systems, applying lean principles for space and labor efficiency.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) , work instructions, and visual controls to ensure process consistency and quality.
  • Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to lower cost and increase throughput.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Production, and Engineering to ensure repaired molds meet dimensional and performance specifications.
  • Gather and analyze data on repair frequency, downtime, and failure modes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) initiatives by assessing operational readiness and process impact.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Proven track record in value stream mapping , lean implementation , and production scheduling .
  • Strong analytical mindset with hands-on experience in takt time and cycle time analysis .
  • Demonstrated ability to guide or collaborate with software development teams on production-related tools or automation systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with a team-oriented approach to problem solving.
Preferred Skills:
  • Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) certification.
  • Familiarity with ERP or CMMS systems for tracking production or repair activities.
  • Working knowledge of tire mold manufacturing and repair processes.
