ARC is an engineering consulting company that helps our clients design, analyze and develop their products to meet high performance goals.
We are looking for an aerodynamicist/CFD engineer.
Job Responsibilities
- Builds models and performs simulations to determine aerodynamic performance (meshing, modeling, post-processing)
- Works directly with customers to develop and evaluate new concepts
- Develops and implements new CFD methodologies and tools. Where applicable, leverages ARC’s technical resources and new technology to improve performance;
- Conducts physical testing when necessary to validate simulations and designs.
- Develops testing methodologies to aid in development of CFD processes.
Job Requirements
- A background in aerodynamic design and optimization, and a degree, or post-graduate qualification in aerodynamics, aerospace engineering, aeronautical engineering, physics, or mechanical engineering
- Strong interest in automotive vehicle development or other product development environment where aerodynamics/fluid dynamics plays a key role
- An exceptional understanding of, and intuition for, fluid dynamics
- Knowledge and experience in the application of wind tunnel experimental techniques either at model scale or full scale
- Proficient in the use of CFD tools for aerodynamic development such as OpenFOAM, STAR CCM+, Fluent or other CFD tools
- Knowledge of surface mesh preparation using ANSA, Hypermesh, or other tools
- Familiarity with geometry creation, simplification, and data management within CAD software
- Must work well in fast-paced, dynamic team and product development environments
- Must be proactive in improving processes and driving projects, examples of this should be provided
