Who we are looking for:
Client, a bold new player in the U.S. electric vehicle space, is transforming the industry with cutting-edge technology designed to deliver the most reliable and efficient EVs at the lowest cost of ownership. We're seeking an energetic, organized, and experienced Dimensional Control Engineer to join our growing team. In this dynamic role, you'll be responsible for the development, design, and execution of all aspects of dimensional control-collaborating closely with Product Engineering and Manufacturing/Operations teams to establish a robust, integrated strategy across product, subassembly, component, and process levels.   • Develop and implement all strategies for datum and dimensional control.
  • Manage all aspects related to dimensional control during both the design and manufacturing phases.
  • Lead collaboration between internal/external teams and suppliers to meet all project requirements and timelines.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of the Datum and Dimensional Control Strategy for our company.
  • Collaborate with suppliers/partners and internal departments to execute the company Datum and Dimensional Contral Strategy and GD&T component requirements.
  • Communicate with all stakeholders to balance and maintain program timing, performance, and budget.
  • Deliver a Datum and Dimensional Control Strategy and process that meets overall product performance requirements, CAPEX and Opex targets, as well as uptime, quality, and customer requirements.
  • Develop production execution of the Datum and Dimensional Control Strategy including product requirements, process documents, tooling specifications and standards, as well as document lessons learned for future programs and drive continuous improvement.
  • Contribute cross-functionally to process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the product/process development system.
  • Respond to executive team/internal team inquiries and cross functional issues to arrive at the best enterprise-wide balanced solution .

What you bring to the team:

  • Experience in executing Datum and Dimensional Control Strategy for an automotive OEM.
  • Experience in dimensional control/datum strategy/GD&T/quality systems/tooling/operations
  • Ability to implement new and innovative manufacturing processes and technology.
  • Expert communicator with aligned motives for joining our company.
  • Excellent problem solver and analytical skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple assignments and competing priorities at the same time.
  • Strong ethics and integrity
  • 8 or more years relevant experience
