Encore Technology Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer II with a strong background in audio-visual systems and field-based estimating . This role is ideal for candidates who can blend real-world technical knowledge with precision budgeting to deliver conceptual designs and competitive project estimates.

You'll be an integral part of our preconstruction team , supporting design-build delivery of integrated low-voltage technology systems. Your AV expertise will help ensure constructability, budget alignment, and high-performance system execution from the planning table to project turnover.

Compensation for this Role: $73,000 - $92,000 Annually, Depending on Experience

What You'll Do

n

n
• n

  Perform AV-specific scope reviews, conceptual design, and detailed estimates.

  n
n
• n

  Own takeoffs for AV systems including video display, control, conferencing, paging, and sound reinforcement.

  n
n
• n

  Collaborate with GCs, vendors, and clients on AV coordination, specifications, and compliance.

  n
n
• n

  Utilize software tools (e.g., Jetbuilt, Bluebeam, CAD, Visio) for estimating and documentation.

  n
n
• n

  Attend site walks and preconstruction meetings to identify challenges and validate scope.

  n
n
• n

  Develop budgets, RFPs, vendor quotes, and proposal documents.

  n
n
• n

  Guide the selection and scope leveling of subcontractors and AV suppliers.

  n
n
• n

  Assist Preconstruction Managers with owner-facing presentations and interviews.

  n
n
• n

  Provide technical leadership to junior estimators and support project handoff to field teams.

What You Bring

n

n
• n

  3-4+ years of direct AV systems experience -field, integration, or estimating.

  n
n
• n

  Demonstrated ability to develop conceptual estimates and value-based proposals.

  n
n
• n

  Strong understanding of AV signal flow, components, and integration practices.

  n
n
• n

  Familiarity with structured cabling, access control, and related systems is a plus.

  n
n
• n

  CTS, CTS-D, or other AVIXA certifications preferred.

  n
n
• n

  Jetbuilt, Bluebeam, CAD/Visio proficiency highly desired.

  n
n
• n

  Ability to read and interpret design drawings and specifications.

  n
n
• n

  Excellent communication, coordination, and time management skills.

  n
n

  Degree or technical training in AV, low voltage, or construction management.
