nJob Summary
nJunior CNO Reverse Engineers (CRE1) at Nightwing perform reverse engineering of hardware components, software applications and operating systems to determine functionality, code structure, and circuit design for use in the design and development of software tools. Reverse engineers are expected to document and deliver reports, proofs-of-concept code demonstrating their findings, and hands on demonstrations. All our engineers write code, but many of our engineers spend as much time taking systems apart as building new ones. A typical day can involve studying disassembly or writing Python to audit a piece of C++ code.

nBasic Qualifications
nTypically requires a Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or network engineering and five (5) years' experience to include 2 (two) years' experience with reverse engineering.
nExperience with C or C++, Python
nUse of Reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, Binary Ninja
nActive and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required prior to start date.
nU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
nDesired Skills: 3 or more of the following desired skills
nUnderstanding of OS Internals (i.e. Windows, Linux, Android)
nExperience with Vulnerability Research
nExperience reading or writing assembly (x86, x64, ARM, PPC, MIPS, SPARC, 68k, or others)
nExperience developing embedded systems
nUnderstanding of network protocols (TCP/IP stacks, wire-level protocols, RF communications, BGP, routing protocols, or others).
nUnderstanding of exploit mitigations such as DEP and ASLR
nExperience using debuggers such as gdb, WinDbg, OllyDbg
nExperience with BDI/JTAG
nExperience with modern C++ development, such as RAII, C++11 and C++14.
nExperience building and using tools to find, exploit, and productize vulnerabilities in complex software systems
nExperience with technical leadership
