Position Summary
nMAG Aerospace is seeking to hire a Systems Engineer to support operations with WOLF (Webster Outlying Field) in St. Inigoes, Maryland!The Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting the development, documentation, integration, and testing of SOF communication systems. Responsibilities encompass the development and analysis of system requirements, specification of development and test procedures, execution of system and subsystem integration and testing, creation of system and training documentation, and performing formal system acceptance testing.

nEssential Duties and Responsibilities

- Develops, integrates and assembles complete communications 'systems of systems' to support US Special Operations Forces (SOF) n
- Leverages previous projects and tasks to develop new SOF communication system requirements, capabilities, and implementations n
- Recommends equipment, services and capabilities that cover the full scope of SOF communications systems n
- Assists with the integration of SOF communications systems into the SOF operational architecture n
- Provides research, analysis, and design recommendations on tools and services that enhance the implementation and sustainment of SOF communication systems n
- Identifies solutions for SOF communications operations support in austere operating environments n
- Provides support to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve communications hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective or end-of-life components when necessary n
- Utilizes software and hardware tools to diagnose and identify complex problems and factors affecting SOF communications system performance n
Requirements
nKnowledge and Skills

- Experience conducting the systematic translation of product requirements into total systems solutions that adhere to technical, schedule, and cost constraints n
- Engineering or technical experience working with military or SOF communications systems n
- Experience performing systems integration of SOF communications solutions n
- Experience developing design documentation including hardware and software architectural, functional, and interface descriptions n
- Ability to perform requirements analysis and verify the validity, traceability, and testability of existing requirements n
- Experience performing functional analysis n
- Experience developing system architectures, mechanical designs, and electrical designs n
- Experience conducting trade studies and analyses for product selection n
- Strong writing and communication skills n
- Ability to work closely with test teams to facilitate systems integration, verification, and test n
- Self-starter with a strong desire to solve complex problems and learn new skills and technologies n
Education

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, or other related technical discipline n
Other Requirements

- Must have an active U.S. DoD Secret Clearance or eligibile to obtain one n
- Must be a U.S. Citizen n
Desired Requirements

- Ability to define systems processes, interfaces and architectures including design and reverse engineering where necessary n
- Solid understanding of the application of Systems Engineering principles n
- Experience generating artifacts to be used during design reviews n
- General USSOCOM experience n
- Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and procedures n
