Position Overview:

n

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with a strong background in systems engineering, data science, and analytical processing to support complex systems-of-systems initiatives. This role is ideal for a senior-level engineer who excels in integrating structured and unstructured data sources, applying machine learning and natural processing, and delivering actionable insights through advanced data visualization.

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
• Apply systems engineering principles to design, analyze, and manage complex systems-of-systems architectures.
n
• Perform data extraction and transformation from unstructured/semi-structured sources such as PDFs, CONOPS, and DoDAF artifacts.
n
• Utilize NLP and ML techniques to analyze data and derive insights.
n
• Conduct qualitative analysis and present results through visual storytelling and data visualization.
n
• Develop and maintain scripts and tools using Python, R, and data science frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
n
• Use tools like Apache Tika and PDFMiner to extract and process data.
n
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
n

Required Qualifications:

n

n
• Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
n
• A minimum of 20 years of relevant experience in systems engineering.
n
• (In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 5 years of systems engineering experience is acceptable.)

Experience with:

n

n
• Complex systems engineering and architecture
n
• Natural Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML)
n
• Data extraction from unstructured/semi-structured documents
n
• Qualitative analysis and data visualization techniques
n
• Programming in Python and/or R
n
• TensorFlow, PyTorch, Apache Tika, and PDFMiner
n

Qualifications:

n

n
• Masters degree in a relevant field
n
• Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) systems and documentation standards
