The Manufacturing Engineering Manager manages a team, resources and activities through Manufacturing Engineering in San Marcos manufacturing facility campus; ensure that all projects and activities are being planned, scheduled, and tracked in accordance with prescribed methods and procedures; coordinate and direct project and department activities, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities include

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers and technicians in a collaborative, accountable environment.
  • n
  • Drive operational efficiency and performance through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • n
  • Be responsible for engineering projects from concept to deployment, ensuring timely, on-budget, and high-quality outcomes.
  • n
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to implement solutions that improve production, quality, and maintenance processes.
  • n
  • Leverage automation, emerging technologies, and data-driven insights to optimize workflows.
  • n
  • Ensure alignment to product quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
  • n
  • Handle departmental budgets and capital expenditures in alignment with operational objectives.
  • n
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives through innovative technologies and process improvements.
  • n
  • Other as assigned by management.

Qualifications

n
    n
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related field
  • n
  • 5+ years of manufacturing or manufacturing engineering experience.
  • n
  • 3+ years in a leadership role is preferred.
  • n
  • Master's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electro-Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering is a plus.
  • n
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, or Master Black Belt) is a plus.
  • n
  • Proven success in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
  • n
  • Confirmed project management capabilities and experience driving cost-effective, scalable improvements.
  • n
  • Strong mechanical proficiency and root cause analysis skills.
  • n
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or CREO and Microsoft Office tools.
  • n

Working Conditions

    n
  • Must be able to traverse across San Marcos, TX different buildings by walking.
  • n
  • Regularly stand/walk/seat for periods of time across the office/manufacturing facility.
