nThis position will work 1st shift or 2nd shift, depending on business demands. Weekend work will also be required.
nAs the Senior Process Improvement Engineer, you will manage equipment and process effectiveness within a production area. This role will troubleshoot process issues and drive operational improvements through effective problem solving and corrective action implementation, to continuously improve safety, quality, delivery, cost & morale. This position will primarily work 1st shift with some occasional coverage of 2nd shift. Occasional weekend work will also be required.

nEquipment & Process Management

Lead equipment and tooling management for your production area.

Drive improvements in Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).

Provide expertise in equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and calibration.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on equipment and tooling recommendations.

Controls Engineering

Develop and refine preventive maintenance plans.
n n - n
Troubleshoot complex systems, including PLCs, vision systems, and Ethernet communications.
n n - n
Manage equipment purchases, process improvements, and capital expense justifications.
n n
Continuous Improvement

Implement root-cause analysis to resolve production inefficiencies.

Lead kaizen initiatives, Poka-Yoke work methods, and workstation optimizations.

Partner with plant leaders to execute short- and long-term improvement projects.

Safety Leadership

Champion safety improvements, including corrective actions and ergonomic assessments.

Assist with safety action item completion for the production area.

New Product Introduction (NPI)

Collaborate with Advanced Manufacturing Engineers (AME) on equipment procurement and qualification.

Provide feedback on product manufacturability and process stability.

Support standard work and job instruction development.

What You'll Bring to Our Team
nRequirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree OR 5+ years in a manufacturing/operations leadership role.

Experience: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment. In addition, project management and mechanical or electrical expereince.

Skills: Strong technical expertise, organizational skills, and leadership qualities.
n n - n
Certifications: Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification is a plus.

Experience in a union manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, DMAIC, and problem-solving frameworks.
