Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Technical Lead to provide expert-level support and leadership for mission-critical systems and applications across the company's infrastructure. This individual will ensure zero or minimal downtime of key platforms and services, while driving operational excellence across multiple OS environments and application stacks.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead for infrastructure support across critical enterprise systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Oversee system administration and virtualization of Oracle Solaris and Red Hat Linux environments.
- Lead installation, configuration, and lifecycle support for IBM WebSphere (v3.x - v8.x) and IBM MQ (v5.x - v9.x) across Solaris and Linux platforms.
- Support and maintain TREP (Thomson Reuters Enterprise Platform), RMDS, DACS, Wombat, and Refinitiv real-time data systems.
- Manage enterprise storage provisioning using HP 3PAR.
- Implement and maintain monitoring solutions using Foglight and BMC Patrol for proactive OS and application monitoring.
- Perform backup and recovery operations using Commvault and Veritas NetBackup on Symantec appliances.
- Provision and manage server infrastructure using HP Opsware.
- Administer user and server access controls through CentrifyDC.
- Provide hands-on support and operational oversight for Informatica, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise systems support and infrastructure management.
- Strong technical expertise with Solaris and Red Hat Linux operating systems.
- In-depth experience with IBM WebSphere and IBM MQ, including deployment and troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of financial market data platforms (Reuters, Refinitiv, TREP, RMDS).
- Experience in enterprise storage, backup, and provisioning tools.
- Hands-on experience with Informatica platform installation and operations.
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and collaborate across IT and business teams.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Experience in high-availability environments within financial or government sectors.
- Knowledge of ITIL or similar IT service management frameworks.
- Experience with automation/scripting tools for server and application management.
