The Life Extension 2 (LE2) team is an organization within the greater FBM program which supports the development of the Next Generation System by developing concepts, researching, and maturing technologies to support the development of the next FBM Missile System.

nLockheed Martin (LM) is looking for a dedicated Systems Integration Engineer to become a member of the Missile Subsystem Product Integration Team.
nAs a Mechanical/Electrical Integration Engineer , you will serve as a key interface between the requirements, design, subsystem engineering, system engineering, and production teams!
nIn this role you will:
n• Provide independent review and cross-program coordination to ensure mechanical and electrical designs and as-built products are compatible
n• Support Missile production and test activities at component manufacturers and the Strategic Weapons Facilities
n• Drive anomaly investigations to closure
n• Perform data reviews and provide feedback to test and integration teams
n• Engage in travel and off-shift support
n• Find opportunities for build flow and test efficiencies
n• Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance , thus US Citizenship is required.
nYOU WILL TYPICALLY HAVE:
n5-9 years of applicable work experience, or 3-7 years with related Master Degree.
nBasic Qualifications:
n• Knowledge and application of Systems Engineering processes and one or more Systems Integration functions including:
na.) System trade studies and/or System modeling
nb.) Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development
nc.) System Integration, Test and/or Verification
nd.) Test planning and execution with an understanding of all the interdependencies
ne.) Design reviews
n• Experience in Systems Engineering or related engineering discipline with demonstrated systems engineering skills
n• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance
nDesired Skills:
n• Excellent leadership skills and whole systems thinking
n• Experience with spacecraft/missile design, development, integration, or test, with broad based and in-depth knowledge of space, missile and launch systems at the component through system level
n• Validated understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors
n• System design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Propulsion, RF, Software, etc.)
n• Experience with flight operations and/or mechanical design
n• Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for implementation on an inflexible schedule, often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, incomplete data
n• Experience ensuring the physical and functional compatibility of hardware products throughout the full life cycle of the program
n• Demonstrated experience of good judgment and programmatic implementation vital to meet technical requirements while balancing schedules and budget obligations
n• Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of the daily program operations
n• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent social skills, with the ability to lead multi-functional teams, develop excellent relationships with team members and shape consensus among peers
n• Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) or Delegate CPE for electronics packages or similar and Engineering Material Review (EMRB) experience; ability to interact with hardware CPEs and designers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied
n• Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive change
n• Active Secret or Top Secret DoD security clearance.

nAbility to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
nWork Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
nSchedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
nPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
