Membership Consultant - Cleveland Heights, OH
Location: Cleveland Heights, OH
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM
Compensation: $50,000 base salary + uncapped commission (On-Target Earnings: $75,000-$90,000+)
Position Summary:
The Membership Consultant is a key community-facing role responsible for growing the patient base through grassroots outreach, event-based marketing, and strategic partnerships. This field-based sales position is focused on connecting Medicare-eligible seniors-particularly in medically underserved communities-with access to high-quality, value-based care.
Ideal candidates have strong B2C or B2B sales experience, are deeply engaged in their local community, and thrive in fast-paced, mission-driven environments. Prior experience in Medicare Advantage, healthcare, or senior-focused services is helpful but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive new patient enrollment by developing and maintaining relationships with individual seniors, community partners, and referral sources.
  • Conduct outreach and educate seniors in various community settings including homes, senior centers, housing complexes, and places of worship.
  • Coordinate, host, and participate in at least three events per week to generate qualified leads and patient interest.
  • Develop referral partnerships with Medicare brokers, independent agents, case managers, senior housing operators, and local influencers.
  • Schedule and follow up on initial appointments using CRM tools and EMR systems to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new patients.
  • Maintain accurate records of all outreach and enrollment activities using Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with community relations personnel on broader public health engagement and marketing strategies.
  • Provide ongoing relationship management and support to enrolled patients to ensure strong retention and satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of outside sales or community relations experience ; 2+ years strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Comfortable with field-based work (80-90% of time spent in the community).
  • Proficient with basic technology, including Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and electronic medical record systems (training provided).
  • Ability to coordinate with health plan agents and navigate plan assignments effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust with diverse populations, especially seniors.
