Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc. is seeking a talented and dedicated individual to assume the role of Leave Management Specialist within our corporate Benefits Department. This full-time, hourly, non-exempt position is designed for someone who possesses a solid understanding of federal and state leave of absence laws and will be instrumental in managing and processing leave of absence cases.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage various company leave of absence requests, including but not limited to: Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Military Leave, State-Mandated Leave, and Personal Leave of Absence.
- Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of confidential employee leave of absence records.
- Possess specialized knowledge of FMLA and related state leave laws to ensure compliance in administering interacting leave laws and company policies.
- Process leave of absences according to established guidelines, including determining eligibility, providing timely notifications, and evaluating documentation to ensure legal compliance.
- Communicate effectively with employees regarding their need for leave and support them throughout the leave process.
- Educate and provide guidance to store, district, and regional management to support a smooth transition to and from leave of absence.
- Collaborate with HR on the expiration of Federal and State Mandated Leave of Absence and its interaction with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Address employee inquiries about benefit premium payments while on leave.
- Compile and analyze reports, and perform regular audits of employees on leave.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience in administering leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, Military, and applicable Federal and State leaves.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with HRIS benefits systems (SAP preferred) and timekeeping systems (Kronos preferred).
- Demonstrated attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team structure.
- Strong organizational skills and the capability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage workload.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Availability to work on Saturdays as needed.
