Senior Systems Engineer - Advanced Mission Support

We invite applications from experienced Systems Engineers to play a crucial role in software systems engineering focused on mission planning software for aircraft and weapons systems. This position requires full-time on-site presence.

Travel: Some travel may be necessary.

Clearance: An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is mandatory for this position. Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Systems Engineering within DoD aircraft systems, weapons systems, mission systems, or support systems, encompassing design, development, integration, and system testing of both hardware and software.
  • Proficiency in decomposing requirements into practical technical system and software requirements.
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and oral), strong presentation abilities, along with critical thinking and reasoning skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess the effectiveness of new capabilities, updated hardware, and updated software to fulfill system and mission performance requirements.
  • Develop, review, and provide insights on H-60 software requirements during development and sustainment phases, based on information from the program office. This includes conducting trade-off studies, engineering approach analyses, systems implementation analyses, and performing research to formulate recommendations.
  • Recommend enhancements to human systems engineering.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Expertise in DOD Systems Engineering Technical Reviews, Systems Software and Systems-of-Systems engineering, model-based systems engineering methods, and systems safety & reliability.
  • Familiarity with Mission Planning Software, DOORS®, Atlassian Jira and Confluence, and the agile project development lifecycle.

Education: A BS or BA degree in a Technical Discipline is required.

Compensation: Compensation at SimVentions is determined by various factors, including experience, education, training, security clearance, location, skills, knowledge, and competencies in alignment with our compensation policies. The projected annual salary range for this position is $115,000.00 - $175,900 (USD), which reflects the standard range and is part of a comprehensive compensation package.
