Description: A Guidance, Navigation and Controls (GN&C) engineering job at Edwards AFB, CA 93524 is currently available through Belcan at one of our key engineering clients. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Software, Systems or Aerospace engineering, and 5+ years of relevant experience working with guidance and navigation systems in a highly dynamic environment. Experience with military systems is essential to support of this customer. Additionally, experience with aircraft flight testing is a plus. Secret Clearance is REQUIRED!

Job Duties:

n

· Design and test military navigation and guidance systems

n

· Develop requirements verification methods

n

· Support flight testing of critical flight systems

n

· Analyze GNC system functionality to identify gaps and resolve issues

n

· Work with customer to analyze data to improve and enhance requirements and functionality of systems

n

Required Qualifications:

n

· Bachelor's degree in Software, Systems or Aerospace engineering

n

· 5+ years" of experience developing requirements, designing, and testing navigation and guidance systems

n

· Experience with inertial measurement units and GPS aided guidance

n

· Background with tactical military aircraft

n

· Experience in flight test support

n

· Experience working in multi-disciplinary design, development, and test teams

n

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

n

· Due to the nature of the work performed, US Citizenship is a requirement.

n

· Current Secret Clearance is required!

n

n

· Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinker motivated to apply technical standards and methodologies to develop solutions

n

· Proficient in the design, analysis, and test of flight vehicle management systems

n

· Experience with flight software development

n

· Adept at designing and certifying to military standards

n

· Collaborative team player with the ability to provide technical leadership and position others for success

n

· Self-starter that can perform independently with minimal direction

n

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $110,000 to $165,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), education assistance, paid time off, including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
