nPosition Overview
nDuring the Full Service Oil Change, the hood technician is responsible for performing all of the services in the engine compartment. The hood technician is also responsible for directing the activities in the bay area, ensuring that the service has been thoroughly completed and recorded on the Work Order.
nEssential Duties and Responsibilities
nWork safely, wear safety gear, keep work area clean and organized.
nUse Echo System / Echo services and vehicle information
nDirect the vehicle into the bay
nPlace fender covers on the vehicle
nPerform light check and check/fill automatic transmission fluid(when applicable), condition and level of oil, power steering fluid, windshield washer fluid, coolant, battery electrolyte
nRemove and check emissions components: Replace top-side oil filter, when applicable. air filter, cabin air filter, breather, and radiator cap. Deliver emissions components to center manager for customer presentation. when applicable Install emissions components
nPerform visual inspection of belts, hoses, and other hood compartment components, document unusual conditions
nPerform additional services, as needed, perform final safety and quality check
nRecord information on Work Order
nOther Duties and Responsibilities
nIn addition to the duties listed above, every crew member is responsible for general center maintenance and cleaning duties such as mopping, washing center windows, lawn mowing, clearing litter, snow and ice from the site, and cleaning restrooms. Crew members must attend crew meetings and run errands as required, as well as other duties assigned by a supervisor.

nPrevious experience or training - Minimum 3 months actual experience or supervised training as a hood technician required
nWorking Conditions
nMaterials Used: Automotive oils, fluids and lubricants, windshield washer fluid, battery electrolyte. Environment: Frequent exposure to outside weather elements, noise, and vehicle exhaust fumes throughout the entire shift.
nPhysical Activities: Position requires good corrected vision, hearing, frequent standing, walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, handling, reaching, and lifting.
