nTioga Downs is hiring Line Cooks in the Buffet and PJ Clarke's. The Line Cook is r esponsible for the preparation of all foods during an assigned shift, in accordance with the Company’s specifications and standards.
nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Cooks are responsible for preparing, seasoning, finishing, and garnishing all food in kitchen preparation in accordance with established recipes.

Cooks follow all recipes and control procedures.

Cooks assist in all areas of food production as needed.
n n - n
Cooks are responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary area at all times in full accordance with State Health Regulations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
n- n
- n
High School diploma or GED preferred.
n n - n
One year experience as a cook or cook’s apprentice in a large, full service hotel or restaurant preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
nWhile performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The Associate frequently is required to stand, crouch and walk.
nThe Associate is frequently required to lift up to 25 lb., and occasionally required to lift up to 50 lb.
nWORK ENVIRONMENT:
nThe Associate regularly works around mechanical moving parts, heat sources and walk in coolers/freezers.
nThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
