- Employees will work 12-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday . n
- They'll work a total of 36 hours across the three days. n
- However, they will receive 4 additional hours for free as part of the benefit, meaning they are compensated as if they worked 40 hours for the weekend, even though they only physically worked 36 hours n
Job Summary:
nThe Paint Shop Leadman in a manufacturing setting oversees painting operations, ensuring high-quality finishes, adherence to production schedules, and compliance with safety standards. This role involves supervising a team of painters and technicians, managing materials, and maintaining equipment to support efficient workflow.
nKey Responsibilities:

- nSupervise and Coordinate : Oversee daily painting operations, ensuring production goals and quality standards are met. n
- nAssign Tasks & Lead Team : Distribute work assignments, train employees, and monitor performance to ensure efficiency. n
- nQuality Control : Inspect surfaces before and after painting, ensuring proper application and adherence to specifications. n
- nSurface Preparation : Ensure materials are properly prepped, including sanding, priming, and masking, for optimal paint adhesion. n
- nPaint Mixing & Application : Oversee the correct preparation and application of paints, coatings, and finishes according to manufacturer guidelines. n
- nEquipment Maintenance : Maintain spray guns, booths, and other painting equipment, ensuring proper function and minimizing downtime. n
- nInventory & Material Management : Monitor and order paint supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels for uninterrupted production. n
- nSafety Compliance : Enforce OSHA and company safety protocols, ensuring the proper use of PPE and handling of hazardous materials. n
- nProcess Improvement : Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance finish quality. n
- nDocumentation & Reporting : Maintain accurate records of completed work, material usage, and equipment maintenance logs. n
Qualifications & Skills:

- Proven experience in industrial painting within a manufacturing environment. n
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills. n
- Knowledge of various painting techniques, materials, and equipment. n
- Ability to read blueprints, work orders, and technical specifications. n
- Understanding of safety regulations and hazardous material handling. n
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. n
- Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy materials for extended periods. n
