We are seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer to contribute to Software Systems Engineering throughout the development and sustainment phases of a project concerning mission planning software for aircraft and weapons systems. This is a full-time on-site role.

Travel: Some travel may be necessary.

Security Clearance: An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is mandatory. Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for classified information access. US Citizenship is required for clearance.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of Systems Engineering experience with DoD aircraft systems, DoD weapons systems, or DoD mission systems, focusing on design, development, integration, and system testing of computer hardware and software.
  • Proficiency in decomposing requirements into technical system and software requirements.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and oral) along with strong critical thinking and analytical reasoning capabilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assess new capabilities, updated hardware, and software against mission performance requirements.
  • Develop, analyze, and provide feedback on H-60 software requirements during project development and sustainment phases, creating trade-off studies and engineering approach analyses.
  • Advise on human systems engineering considerations.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with DOD Systems Engineering Technical Reviews, Systems Software, and Systems-of-Systems engineering, as well as model-based systems engineering methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Mission Planning Software, DOORS®, Atlassian Jira and Confluence, and the agile project development lifecycle.

Education: A BS or BA in a Technical Discipline is required.

Compensation: At SimVentions, compensation is determined by various factors like experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, aligned with our corporate compensation plan. The projected annual salary for this role ranges from $115,000.00 to $175,900 (USD).
