Essential Duties:
- Identifying and ensuring execution of strategic marketing plans that optimize and accelerate growth opportunities for the company
- Leading the development of effective marketing campaigns that enhance corporate and product visibility and generate marketing qualified leads (MQLs) for the sales teams.
- Building and managing toward marketing operational excellence, including dashboards and reporting, campaign optimization, project management,
- Strengthening the orchestration across sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure cohesive and more persuasive communications across the customer journey,
- Enabling sales with the tools and knowledge they need to achieve or exceed their targets.
- and guiding the marketing team toward flawless execution of marketing activities, processes, and outcomes for the business.
- Oversee the marketing function including go-to-market strategy, product and company branding, content marketing, digital marketing, MQL generation, and corporate communications.
- Track and monitor the progress and results (as measured by pipeline and closed business) of marketing programs, providing monthly, and quarterly performance reports to company leadership, product leaders, and sales teams.
- Build, lead, and manage toward best-in-class B2B marketing team.
- Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and feedback to marketing professionals, overseeing talent management, processes, tools, and techniques.
- Partner with the Chief Content officer, marketing team, sales, and product teams, to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, differentiating value propositions, and product marketing plans for existing and new products that build awareness, educate target buyers, and drive customer engagement.
- Partner with product leaders and the Chief Delivery Officer (CDO) to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for both existing and new product growth plans.
- Work with the Chief Content Officer (COO), design team, Head of Brand and Communications, VP Content Strategy, and community/audience development team to ensure alignment in brand, strategy, audience targets, communications, and messaging in support of growth plans.
- Collaborate with the CEO, President, and CCO to set brand strategy, and company growth priorities
- Partner with the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and the sales team to develop and execute marketing campaigns that generate the necessary quantity and quality of MQLs that convert at benchmark rates and velocity
- Collaborate with the CCO, CRO, CEO, CDO, and President to execute strategic account-based marketing (ABM) programs across the company’s audience targets and product lines.
- Create, manage, and optimize the marketing budget, ensuring alignment with company goals and sales targets.
- Work with Salesforce administration and Business Intelligence to develop dashboards and reports, and optimize processes for forecasting, scoring, and delivering MQL growth.
- Collaborate with the Sales Enablement team to improve MQL-to-SQL conversion and enhance defined sales pipeline opportunities.
- Lead the planning and manage execution of marketing campaigns for both new product launches and updates to existing products, ensuring they are on time and on budget.
- Work with the marketing team, Head of Brand and Communications, VP Content Strategy, Chief Innovation Officer, Research, and others across the company to develop, update, and refresh marketing content that drives effective engagement and generates MQLs for the sales team.
- Collaborate with the market research team to capture and leverage market and customer research, ensuring the company stays informed of trends and opportunities in the target markets, and positioning and messaging is updated accordingly
- Partner with the Chief Innovation Officer to stay updated on competitor trends and developments.
- Minimum of 10+ years relevant work experience leading a B2B marketing team for a growth business
- BSc/BA in business administration, marketing, and communications or relevant field; MBA a positive or equivalent experience
- Private Equity experience a positive
- Experience with State and Local Government and Education is a strong plus
- Excellent leadership and organizing skills, including the ability to build strong working relationships with executive team, product delivery leaders and CRO, and inspire the marketing team toward high performance while building a strong positive culture
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately, orally and in writing
- Strategic mindset, high business acumen and a focus on growth
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships and trust across the organization
- Up to speed with current marketing techniques, lead generation programs/processes, and marketing best practices and benchmarks
- Strong understanding of market, customer and competitive research processes and techniques
- Strong communications, content development and content marketing background
- Good knowledge and understanding of digital systems and tools such as CRM, SEO, marketing automation, and digital analytics.
- Comfortable with accountability for metrics and revenue.
- Analytical and creative thinking.

- Strong organizational, execution, and follow-through skills.
