Bay Systems Consulting is seeking - Thermal Engineering Support

Hybrid - 2 days onsite in Highlands Ranch, CO

Salary - $82K - $128K depending on experience

Duties/Responsibilities

Thermal Design - Model Development & Analysis

n
• Support Thermal Desktop model development and subsequent analysis.
n
• Assist in and potentially lead the development of the GeoXO Thermal Desktop model including but not limited to building and/or integrating battery, solar array, antenna, heat pipe, propulsion component, Instrument Mounting Platform and instrument thermal models
n
• Perform preliminary and detailed thermal analyses needed to close the Thermal Subsystem design.
n
• Perform Instrument Mounting Platform thermal analysis in support of FEM thermal distortion analysis.
n
• Perform any other miscellaneous analyses necessary to support Thermal Subsystem design maturation.

Thermal Design - PDR, CDR & CDRL Preparation

n
• Support Thermal Subsystem chart preparation for PDR and CDR as well as document preparation for scheduled CDRL deliveries.
n
• Assist in the preparation and delivery of PDR and CDR Thermal Subsystem chart packages.
n
• Assist in the preparation and delivery of Thermal CDRLs.
n
• Assist in the preparation and delivery of any other thermal documentation necessary to support Thermal Subsystem design maturation.

Thermal Design - General Program Support

n
• Assist general Thermal Subsystem development tasking in support of the GeoXO program.
n
• Support requirement definition and development of Thermal Subsystem requirement documentation.
n
• Support spacecraft design trades.
n
• Assist in the proposal, maturation and implementation of Thermal risks and opportunities.
n
• Abide by scheduling and budgetary constraints.
n
• Assist with any other miscellaneous thermal tasks necessary to support the GeoXO program.
