nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Apply updates to industry standards. n
- Implement changes to maintain AS9100, ISO9000, IATF 16949, and OEM standards. n
- Manage internal audits to meet industry and customer requirements. n
- Develop and oversee inspection standards and procedures, ensuring compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and manufacturer specifications. n
- Authorize product/service release to customers. n
- Ensure effective and timely corrective and preventive actions. n
- Supervise Quality Department personnel. n
- Verify proper performance and documentation of inspections before product/service release. n
- Conduct Contract Review duties and provide training. n
- Identify and correct quality issues, initiate corrective actions, or halt non-compliant activities. n
- Ensure adherence to quality program requirements through audits and associate qualification. n
- Maintain supplier qualifications to meet quality standards. n
- Review shop cards before certification and shipment. n
- Oversee furnace surveys, equipment calibration, recall systems, and testing standards. n
- Use required personal protective equipment. n
- Perform duties safely, adhering to all safety and health rules (OSHA, MTI, and SDS Standards). n
- Perform related tasks as required or directed. n
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years in engineering and/or quality. n
- Knowledge of commercial heat treatment of automotive alloys. n
- Experience in Nadcap and/or automotive industry. n
- Familiarity with automotive specifications, ISO, AS, QS, and IATF 16949 quality systems. n
- AS9100 Lead Auditor certification. n
- Six Sigma Green Belt/Lean Manufacturing skills. n
- Understanding of QMS Principles. n
- Ability to read and understand customer specifications and drawings. n
- Excellent communication skills. n
- Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action principles. n
- Ability to collaborate with staff, vendors, and customers. n
- Capability to mentor reports. n
- Organized, detail-oriented, and accurate. n
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. n
- High integrity and ability to handle confidential information. n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. n
