We are looking for a warm, energetic, friendly, and upbeat individual to provide the very best orthodontic experience. The ideal candidate must be personable, a quick learner, possess excellent communication skills, and work well with others. This role involves assisting the orthodontist with various procedures, providing patient care, and supporting administrative tasks. Key responsibilities include assisting with bracket placement, taking impressions, educating patients on oral hygiene, and maintaining accurate patient records.
Job responsibilities:
Main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Performing clinical procedures such as orthodontic adjustments, changing archwires, fitting bands, placing brackets, checking for loose brackets and bands, taking impressions for study models and appliances, placing separators, and taking x-rays and photographs
- Working with the iTero scanner for clear aligner cases
- Sterilizing instruments, pouring impressions, making plastic retainers, and managing lab responsibilities
- Setting up and cleaning up treatment areas
- Assisting in other areas of the office as needed, such as answering phones and scheduling patients
Requirements:
- Current California RDA certificate or Orthodontic Assistant Permit (OAP)
- Current X-ray and CPR certifications
- At least one year of experience in an orthodontic office is recommended
- Familiarity with Ortho2 Edge software is a plus
- Spanish-speaking ability is a plus
- Willingness to assist other team members as needed
Compensation is $32 to $36 per hour depending on the experience.
