nJob Description Summary
nThe Electrician position is responsible for completing the high, medium, and low voltage electrical tasks associated with the maintenance activities in his/her area. The successful candidate should be a problem solver experienced in plant electrical distribution systems and the equipment used in these systems. He/she should possess the ability to assist in preventive and predictive maintenance procedures, troubleshoot equipment failures, complete production machine set-ups and change-overs, and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.

nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
nDiagnose plant equipment problems.
nPerform preventive maintenance procedures.
nRoutine repairs to electrical equipment in accordance with all plant work instructions and safety procedures.
nPerform safety observations as needed.
nMaintain equipment in area of responsibility.
nPerform inspections of electrical equipment.
nTroubleshoot electrical failures using multi-meters, megger equipment, etc.
nBend and install conduit
nMeasure and inspect using calibrated test equipment.
nNew wiring installations of starters and start/stop stations.
nRoutine installations of motors, VFDs, lights, and switches.
nRoutine installations of control wiring.
nAbility to read blueprints.
nTroubleshooting and minor programming of PLCs
nGrounding and bonding of AOD Pumps and lined pipe installations.
nBreaker preventative maintenance and new installations
nRecognize electrical area classifications.
nDisposal of fluorescent bulbs, spent batteries, and PC containing ballasts properly.
nPre-task analyses for his/her maintenance activities.
nOther duties as assigned.
nDEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
nMust be able to stand and walk for long periods of time while working.
nFor certain positions, individuals must be able to wear a respirator.
nIndividuals will be subject to extensive security background check, educational, employment and post-offer physical exam and drug test.
nExtensive training will be required in order to meet all regulatory, safety and security requirements.
nMust be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds unassisted on a regular basis.
nMust be willing to work a rotating shift schedule including nights and weekends.
nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
nEducation: Certified Electrician or an Associates degree in Applied Science from a technical school with an emphasis on Electrical Theory and Industrial Applications of Electricity preferred. Equivalent relevant years of experience in these fields of study will also be considered.
nExperience: Minimum of one to three years’ experience (five to seven years’ experience preferred) experience as a Maintenance Electrician in a manufacturing facility; experience in an FDA controlled industry is preferred.
nExperience with electrical equipment repair is essential.
nSkills/Competencies:
nKnowledge of multi-meters, Megger Equipment, E-Max Motor Testers, and PLCs is preferred.
nFamiliarity with and full adherence to cGMP, OSHA, FED regulations required.
nStarting pay is $41.17 per hour.
