Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Description:
The Electrical Engineer II reports to the Engineering Manager and collaborates across departments and functional groups within the plant. This role is responsible for designing and upgrading control systems, improving safety systems, supporting process improvements, and documenting electrical systems. The role also involves hands-on programming and troubleshooting tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and upgrade control systems.
  • Support teams on troubleshooting and process improvements.
  • Document electrical systems through wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Write well-structured programs in Ladder Logic, Basic, Excel Macros, and other languages, with clear annotations.
  • Improve and support plant safety systems.
  • Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and milestones are met.
  • Estimate material, labor, and construction costs for planning and budgeting.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional teams using structured meeting practices with agendas and follow-up minutes.
  • Provide electrical/electronic technical support to employees.
  • Develop and maintain accurate documentation for plant electrical systems.
  • Install, maintain, service, and design electronic control systems.
Education Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • If holding an Associate's Degree, candidates must have documented plans for completing a Bachelor's Degree.
Experience Requirements:
  • 3-7 years of relevant experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Automation Direct PLCs.
  • Familiarity with Panelview, Wonderware, Visual Basic, and FactoryTalk software.
Required Skills:
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment control systems and logic.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent with AutoCAD software.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to train or instruct coworkers on electrical systems.
  • Deep knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
  • Proficient in circuit design and analysis.
  • Skilled in using electrical instruments for troubleshooting and circuit design.
  • Strong foundation in mathematics and physics.
  • Ability to program or code from Excel to PLC ladder logic.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects effectively.
