The Quality Engineer Intern will assist the quality engineering team in ensuring that products are manufactured to meet the highest quality standards. The intern will gain hands-on experience in quality control, testing, data analysis, and process improvement techniques while supporting various initiatives to improve product quality and operational efficiency. Other duties include:
- Assist in Quality Assurance (QA) Activities:
- Support in the inspection, testing, and auditing of products.
- Assist with gathering and analyzing data to track product quality performance.
- Perform product and process analysis to identify areas of improvement.
- Document Control:
- Help maintain and organize quality documentation, test reports, and process control records.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in the documentation.
- Process Improvement:
- Assist in the identification of process inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
- Work with senior engineers on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Root Cause Analysis:
- Participate in problem-solving activities to identify root causes of quality issues.
- Support the investigation of customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
- Support Product Testing:
- Assist in the setup and execution of product testing and quality validation processes.
- Ensure that products meet established specifications and standards.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the manufacturing, engineering, and design teams to ensure quality standards are met.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss quality issues and project progress.
- Degree in Quality Engineering , Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering , or a related field.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to identify issues and inconsistencies in products and processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis tools and techniques.
- Experience with quality control tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA, MSA).
- Basic knowledge of CAD software or other engineering tools.
